Decontamination

Global Advantech utilises innovative and sustainable  technologies and bioscience to provide cost effective solutions to contamination and pollution problems. The Soil and Drill Cuttings Washing Products are based on natural and non-hazardous chemicals.

Contaminants include:
    • Hydrocarbons and heavy oils, including crude oil
    • Coal and oil tars
    • Chlorinated and other halogenated solvents
    • Organic compounds including polyphenols, etc.
    • Heavy metals, including cadmium, chromium,
        copper, iron, manganese, nickel and zinc
    • Arsenic

Applications, in combination with mechanical engineering include:
    • Soil washing to remove tars and heavy metals
         from contaminated land
    • Aqueous cleaning of oil and gas well drill cuttings
    • Treatment of landfill leachate
    • Removal of tars and oily sludges from storage
         tanks    

Bioremediation

Global Advantech has developed a new generation of products for use in bioremediation of contaminated concrete, soil and water. The Natural Bioremediation Agents "900 range" are based upon natural biostimulant molecules and contain no micro-organisms or enzymes.
 
Contaminants include:
    • Mineral and synthetic oils and greases
    • Vegetable and animal fats, oils and greases
    • Hydrocarbons, including polyaromatic hydrocarbons
    • Halogenated solvents (e.g. trichloroethylene) and
        polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs)
    • Organic solvents and glycol-based air conditioning
        and de-icing fluids

Bioremediation applications include:
    • Clean up of hydrocarbon contaminated soil,
        e.g. at a fuel distribution depot
    • Remediation of oil contaminated concrete at an
        engineering works
    • Clean-up of rail track ballast in a maintenance yard
    • Remediation of an oil spill on a lake
